Bronx, NY - In their 2024 CUNY Athletic Conference opener, the City College of New York women's volleyball team earned its first win of the season, defeating Lehman College on the road 3-0.
The victory lifts the Beavers to 1-3 overall on the season, marking the first win for new head coach

The Beavers took the opening set over the Lightning, 25-14. In the second set, CCNY earned a 25-18 set victory before closing out the night with a 25-10 win in the final set.
Senior
Bianka Catral finished with a match-high nine kills, six digs, and seven service aces. Graduate student
Michelle Fernandez had five kills and eight kills. Senior
Viviana Alatorre dished out a match-high 23 assists and nine digs. Sophomore
Rosalynda Russo posted a match-high 25 digs and three assists.
Junior
Serena Warner totaled six kills and one solo block, while junior
Nila Tom had four kills and a solo block of her own. Freshman
Ivanna Zamora Sanchez picked up four kills and 10 digs, whiile freshman
Valerie Rahme collected two kills and two digs in the victory.
Next, the Beavers travel to Brooklyn, New York, to take on Pratt Instuite on Thursday, September 19, at 7:00 p.m. The match will be held at the Hill Center at St. Joseph's University Brooklyn.
