CCNY Women’s Basketball Earns First Win of the Season with 58–44 Victory Over Keystone

New York, NY - The City College of New York Women's Basketball program earned its first victory of the 2025–26 season on Friday evening, defeating Keystone College, 58–44, at Nat Holman Gymnasium. The Beavers produced one of their strongest team efforts of the year, controlling the game on the boards and applying consistent defensive pressure to secure the home win.

CCNY established an early lead and carried a 33–28 advantage into halftime before breaking the game open in the third quarter, outscoring Keystone 18–10. The Beavers continued to dictate the pace in the final period, limiting the Giants to just six points while stretching the margin to double digits. CCNY's work on the glass proved decisive, as the team posted a commanding 62–43 rebounding advantage, including 30 offensive boards that led to 11 second-chance points.

Junior guard Ashley Colon led the Beavers with a game-high 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including three makes from beyond the arc. Senior Joscelyn Ramos delivered an all-around performance with 11 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in 38 minutes of action. Freshman Blessings Joseph-Pascall added 11 points and six rebounds, while sophomore Ashley Subervi anchored the interior with 12 rebounds and 7 points. Off the bench, sophomore Amanda Fisher provided a major boost, collecting 15 rebounds—seven on the offensive end—and scoring six points.

The Beavers forced 27 Keystone turnovers and converted them into 16 points, while maintaining composure late to close out the contest.

With the win, CCNY improves to 1–5 on the season.

The Beavers will return to action on Wednesday, December 3rd, on the road at Pratt Institute at 7:00 p.m.
