Brooklyn, NY – The City College of New York women's basketball team secured a hard-fought road victory Wednesday night, defeating Pratt Institute 59–55 inside the ARC. With the win, the Beavers improve to 2–5 overall, while Pratt drops to 1–6.

CCNY established early control with a strong offensive start, taking a 20–17 lead after the opening period before outscoring Pratt 18–6 in the second quarter to carry a double-digit advantage into halftime. The Cannoneers responded with a second-half surge, cutting into the deficit with a 16-14 third-quarter push and outscoring CCNY 16–7 in the final period. Inside, sophomore Ashley Subervi collected 10 rebounds to go with 6 points, while sophomore Amanda Fisher provided a strong spark off the bench with eight boards.

CCNY capitalized in transition and on the defensive end, scoring 19 points off turnovers and generating 17 fast-break points.
