FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The City College of New York men's basketball team fell to NCAA Division I Fairfield University by a score of 121–58 in an exhibition contest on Monday evening at Leo D. Mahoney Arena.

Senior Justin Morety led the Beavers offensively, finishing with a game-high 19 points while playing 37 minutes. Freshman Olabanjo Aborisade added 10 points and five rebounds, and sophomore David Leye chipped in 10 points off the bench, including a pair of three-pointers. Freshman Samuel Olubakin contributed six points and six rebounds in the loss.

CCNY shot 36.5 percent from the field and 26.3 percent from three-point range for the game, connecting on 7-of-8 free throws. The Beavers totaled 32 rebounds and scored 26 points in the paint.

Fairfield was led by Braden Sparks, who poured in 26 points on 6-of-11 shooting from beyond the arc. Declan Wucherpfennig recorded a 20-point, 13-rebound double-double, while the Stags finished with 56 rebounds, 29 second-chance points, and 45 bench points.

The exhibition provided CCNY with valuable experience against a Division I opponent as the Beavers go into the second half of the 2025–26 season.

Next, the Beavers host UMASS Boston on Sunday, Dec. 28, at the Nat Holman Gymnasium for a 12:00 p.m. tip-off.
