Beavers Fall at Home to John Jay

New York, NY - The CCNY women's basketball team fell to John Jay College, 82–33, on Wednesday evening at Nat Holman Gymnasium.

John Jay set the tone early, jumping out to a 15–9 lead after the first quarter and extending its advantage with a strong second period to take a 45–18 lead into halftime. The Bloodhounds continued to control the pace in the second half, outscoring CCNY 37–15 over the final two quarters to secure the road win.

CCNY was limited offensively, shooting 22.0% from the field and 7.1% from three-point range, while John Jay capitalized on turnovers and interior scoring, finishing with 48 points in the paint and 36 points off turnovers. The visitors also held a significant rebounding edge (68–50), creating multiple second-chance opportunities.

For the Beavers, Ashley Colon, Ashley Subervi, and Joscelyn Ramos each led the team with seven points. Amanda Fisher provided a strong presence on the glass, pulling down a game-high 13 rebounds, while Subervi added nine boards.

John Jay was led by Michaela Lattimore, who posted a dominant performance with 19 points and 19 rebounds. Miah Crockett added 14 points, and Natalie Simonds chipped in 10 points to round out a balanced scoring effort.

CCNY moves to 4–11 overall and 2–5 in CUNYAC play, while John Jay improves to 5–13 overall and 3–4 in conference action.
