Beavers Close Regular Season on Senior Night with 51–45 Loss to Baruch

New York, NY — The City College of New York women's basketball team closed out the regular season on Senior Night, falling to Baruch College Bearcats by a 51–45 margin on Tuesday evening at Nat Holman Gymnasium.

CCNY (6–17, 4–10 CUNYAC) honored its seniors before tip-off. Head coach Marcello Di Russo and the CCNY athletics staff honored the program's Senior Class of 2026 members, Erisairy Calderon, Amanda Fisher, and Joscelyn Ramos.

The Beavers surged to a 20–7 lead after the first quarter and built their advantage to as many as 17 points midway through the second, heading into halftime in front, 29–17.

Baruch (11–14, 7–7 CUNYAC) responded with a strong third quarter, outscoring CCNY 21–11 to erase the deficit and shift momentum. The Bearcats carried that run into the fourth quarter, taking their first lead late and holding off a late CCNY push to secure the win.

Junior Ashley Colon led CCNY with 14 points, connecting on four three-pointers, while sophomore Ashley Subervi provided a spark off the bench with nine points and a team-high 12 rebounds. Sophomore Yazmin Loma Romero added nine points, and freshman Blessings Joseph-Pascall contributed six points, eight rebounds, and five assists.

Isabella Kostyal-Larrier paced Baruch with a game-high 21 points, while Lillianna Morales grabbed 14 rebounds as the Bearcats capitalized on turnovers and second-chance opportunities down the stretch.

Next, the Beavers will advance to the CUNYAC Championship Tournament, clinching the sixth seed. CCNY will travel to take on third-seeded Lehman College on Saturday, February 21, at 2:00 p.m in the Bronx, NY.
