Davenport, Fla. — The City College of New York baseball team dropped a 15–2 decision to Brandeis University on Thursday afternoon at the RussMatt College Baseball Invitational, closing out the three-game series finale against the Judges.
Brandeis sent 13 batters to the plate in the opening frame, scoring 10 runs on two hits, four walks, three hit batters, and three CCNY errors to seize immediate control. The Judges added two more runs in the second and three in the third to extend the lead to 15–0.
Starting pitcher J. Maurer earned the win for Brandeis, tossing five scoreless innings while striking out 10 and allowing four hits. CCNY starter

Tyler Persampire each recorded hits. On the mound, CCNY relievers freshmen

Jonathan Flotte combined for four scoreless innings to close out the contest.
The Beavers close out their Spring Training Trip on Saturday afternoon, taking on Vermont State University Castleton at 12:45 p.m.
