New York, NY – The City College of New York baseball program has been recognized with the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for the fifth consecutive year, the organization announced.

Presented by Sports Attack, the prestigious honor recognizes more than 500 collegiate baseball programs whose head coaches are ABCA members and whose teams achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2024–25 academic year.

The Beavers continued to excel in the classroom, posting a collective 3.21 team GPA.

CCNY's success in the classroom was matched by another historic season on the diamond. During the 2026 campaign, the Beavers advanced to the CUNYAC Championship Series for the fifth consecutive season while setting a new program record for victories, finishing with an 18–20 overall record.
