Paul Dail, a CCNY graduate and a former two-year starter at guard for the Beavers, was named as head men’s basketball coach at The City College of New York in August of 2017.
"I would like to bring my experience as a player and as one who can relate to today's young student-athletes to make CCNY basketball relevant nationally. I know it is a lofty goal but yet one that is attainable."
He served a year as the assistant coach with the Beavers in 2013-14, where his responsibilities included recruiting, scouting opponents, and assisting organizing daily practices.
A two-year starter and captain at guard for the Lavender & Black (2011-13), Dail was named a second-team All-CUNYAC selection in 2013. He ranked fifth in the nation in assists with 6.9 per game and 10th in steals with 2.88 per game.
Dail graduated from CCNY in 2013 with a degree in economics and business. He also works at CCNY in the Offices of Physical Plant Services.
