Andrijana Todorovic

In addition to her duties as head coach of the men's volleyball program, Andrijana Todorovic is in her third season at the helm of the women's team. She was announced as the 11th coach in women’s program history in 2017.

Todorovic was hired as the head coach of the men's volleyball program in January of 2015. In her five seasons with the men’s program, she has coached three NCAA Statistical Champions. Anthony Reyes led the NCAA with 4.45 kills per set during the 2015 season, while Sebastjano Aga received the NCAA Statistical Award for leading the nation with 4.62 kills per set and 5.32 points per set in 2016. In 2019, CUNY Athletic  Conference Player of the Year Xhulio Myfarti, finished as the NCAA leader in three different categories--Aces Per Set (1.13), Kills Per Set (5.17) and Points Per Set (6.83). In addition, the Beaver men have twice earned team NCAA Statistical Champion Awards after leading the nation in Aces Per Set in both 2018 (2.83) and 2019 (2.75).

Her men's team finished the 2019 season with a 15-4 record.  CCNY’s .789 winning percentage represented the program’s best in the past 20 years. The 2019 campaign included an 11-match winning streak and saw the Beavers secure the No. 2 seed in CUNY Athletic Conference Championship Tournament, placing the team into the CUNY semifinals for the first time in 10 years!  For that effort, Todorovic was named “Coach of the Year” by CCNY Athletic Department for 2018-2019 season, and the men’s volleyball team was awarded “Most Outstanding Performance by the Male Team”.

Todorovic was selected to present at the 2019 AVCA Convention in Pittsburgh, PA. Her presentation focused on the pros and cons of volleyball defensive systems, discussing how defense can help build a championship program. This marked her second time presenting at the largest volleyball event in the country among the best coaches and athletes.

In 2015, Todorovic served as a volunteer assistant coach with the women’s team at St. Francis Brooklyn, a Division I program part of Northeast Conference. That season, St. Francis enjoyed its best results in program history, with five wins in five weeks after Todorovic joined the team.

In December of 2015, she was an official speaker along with Tom Hilbert & Lina Taylor at the 2015 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) in Omaha, NE. Her presentation theme was “Recipe for a Winning Program: International Recruiting, Player Commitment and Blending Cultures.” That same year, Todorovic was a clinician at the PSAL Volleyball Clinic for NYC High School Coaches. She spoke about how to prepare young student-athletes for college volleyball.

As a former international professional athlete Todorovic, who goes by Ana, brings a wealth of experience to the program. Prior to CCNY, she was a head coach of professional FIVB Women's Volleyball team Obilic, from Belgrade, Serbia.

Todorovic played volleyball professionally at the highest FIVB level for 17 years and was a five-year player on the Serbian (Yugoslavian) National Team. Her journey has taken her from the Red Star Belgrade A1 club in Serbia to fellow European A1 clubs Volley Bergamo in Italy; Creglingen in Germany; AIAS Evosmos, Thessaloniki in Greece; Besiktas in Turkey; Burgos in Spain; Stiinta Bacau and Dinamo Bucuresti in Romania; and Kalisz in Poland. She also played with Indias Mayaguez in Puerto Rico and with Roma Pallavolo in Italy. 

Her accolades include winning a gold medal in the Serbian National Championships, as well as gold medals in the Austrian National Championship and the Cup, Romanian National Cup. She has also earned silver in the Romanian National Championships and the Greek National Cup, in addition to competing in elite European cups, Top Teams Cup, CEV Cup and the European Champions League.

In 2014, Todorovic graduated from the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education University in Belgrade, Serbia.
