The City College of New York women's volleyball team picked up a 3-1 victory over non-conference opponent The College at Old Wesbury on Tuesday evening in Old Westbury, New York.

The first set started with a lot of back-and-forth action between the two non-conference foes. Old Westbury took a two-point lead at the 7-9. The Beavers went on a 7-0 to take a 21-13 lead. City continued to attack and hold onto their lead. CCNY took the first set 25-17.

The second set started the same was the first set started with both teams fighting for the lead and exchanging points. Old Westbury took a 10-6 lead, but the Beavers continued to fight back. CCNY was able to pick up some kills and cut the lead, but the Panthers continued to dominate. Old Westbury took the second set 25-20.

City took control in the third set. Searching for a victory, they fought hard to pick up some points. They took the set 25-16. City took the final fourth set in their control as they searched for a win. With the victory in sight they fought hard to pull one out. They picked up another win with the fourth set victory 25-21.

Angela Ubanwa notched her third double-double of the season with 18 kills and 11 digs. Camila Diaz tallied nine kills in the victory. Cassidy Iannariello notched her first double-double of the season when she dished out 30 assists and recorded 11 digs. Irishvarsha Iyyadurai notched four service aces and 16 digs.

The Beavers will face their final regular season conference opponent John Jay on Thursday, October 29 at 6 p.m.
