The City College of New York women's volleyball team earned the No. 8 seed in the CUNYAC Tournament and will face the No. 1 seeded Baruch on Tuesday, November 3 at 7 p.m. The match will take place at Arc Arena at Baruch College.
The Beavers have made the postseason tournament every year since the 2001 season. This is the first season City is the number 8 seed. Last season, CCNY defeated Brooklyn 3-0 to advance to the semifinals where they fell 3-0 to Hunter.
CCNY was defeated 3-0 to Baruch earlier this season. During the match they held Baruch to a .083 attack percentage. The Bearcats .083 attack percentage was the lowest percentage any conference team has held them to this season.
As Baruch enters the tournament undefeated in conference the Beavers have their work cut out for them. CCNY will look to their 10.47 digs per set and 4.76 service aces per set to pick up a victory and take down the number one seed. A number one seed has not lost a quarterfinal match since 2001, as far back as the CUNYAC History goes.
