Queens, NY - The City College women's volleyball team wrapped up the Columbus Day weekend at the York College Tri-Match on Monday. Hunter swept the Beavers in straight sets, and the Beavers would sweep York in three sets to finish the day 1-1.
Junior Angela Ubanwa had two kills and Junior Irishvarsha Iyyadurai recorded 11 digs and Lesly Polanco and Tenaya Hawkins both chipped in five digs.
Hunter easily controlled all three sets, allowing them to take the match 25-6, 25-11, and 25-11. Julia Connolly had a game high 12 kills. Breanna Banske had 28 assists.
The Beavers bounced back quickly against the York, winning the sets 25-19, 25-22 and 25-16.
Angela Ubanwa had a match high 13 Kills. Tenaya Hawkins had a match high 24 assists. Veralucia Quispe lead with 12 digs, while Iyyadurai had nine and Ubanwa had eight.
CCNY's will play next in the Arcadia Tournament in Glenside, PA. this weekend.
