New York, N.Y. – The City College men's basketball team had four players score in double figures, but was unable to get by Yeshiva University, falling 92-66 in their season opener at the Nat Holman Gymnasium Tuesday night.

- Robbie Dionisio helped get things going for CCNY, scoring the team's first four points of the game.
- The Beavers held a one-point lead with less than ten minutes remaining but the Maccabees finished the half strong, going on a 10-2 run in the last two minutes to take a 55-33 lead at the break.
- The Beavers trailed Yeshiva by 32 points giving the visiting team its largest lead of the contest, 89-57, with just over seven minutes left in regulation.
- Yeshiva went on to win by the final score of 92-66.
