Staten Island, NY – The City College Men's Basketball team dropped to the College of Staten Island in a conference matchup Tuesday night with a 83-64 loss. The Beavers are now 1-2 in conference play.
Senior Mark Richard led all scoring for the Beavers with a 16-point, 5-rebound, 3-steals and 2-blocks. Senior Robbie Dionisio added 12 points and six rebounds. Senior Khalil Hamer posted 9 points, 3 broads ,3 steals and 2 blocks. David Solano posted 9 points and 5 rebounds.
City College's only led as much as five points early into the game (16:06). The Beavers trailed CSI by 15-points (44-29) at the end of the first half.
CSI would grow their lead to 25-points (13:21) in the second half. The huge scoring night aided the Dolphins to a 83-64 victory.
Four of CSI's players recorded double-digit point totals accounting over half the home team's scoring. Kevon Murphy had 21 points, eight rebounds. Edin Bracic posted a 17-points, 4-steals and 2-blocks. Frank Schettino notched 16 point, 14 assist double-double and five steals. Stephen Flagg had 11 points in the win.
The City College Men's Basketball team is now 2-5 overall and 1-2 in conference play. Their next game will be on the road in a conference game against Hunter College on Friday, December 9th, at 7:00PM.
