The City College of New York men's tennis team was defeated 7-2 by Albertus Magnus on Saturday evening. City fell to 2-4 on the season, while Albertus Magnus improved to 2-0.

Andrew Bregman and Pavel Shapturenka came out on top in the number one doubles position. Shapturenka and Bregman defeated Albertus Magnus partners, Peter Zacharias and Cerrone Bell 8-6. The Falcons took the doubles points on both court two and three with respective 8-4, 8-1 scores. Albertus Magnus was up 2-1 going into singles. 

Bregman followed up his doubles victory with a singles victory. It was a hard fought battle but in the number two position, Bregman took the point for CCNY 5-7, 6-3, 10-8. Both Shapturenka and Reginald Duvalsaint went into three sets as they batted with the Falcons on court one and three. Shapturenka fell 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, while Duvalsaint fell 6-4, 2-6, 6-4. The Falcons took the singles points in the four, five and six position. Alejandro Varela fell 6-2, 6-4. Andrew Chen, in the number five spot, was defeated 6-4, 6-1. On court six, Albertus Magnus took the point with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Brian Chen. Albertus Magnus took the match 7-2.

City will host St. Joseph's Brooklyn on Tuesday, March 29 at 7 p.m.
