The City College of New York men's tennis team topped St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) 6-3 on Tuesday evening at Purchase, New York. The Beavers improve to 3-4 on the season, while St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) falls to 1-2.

CCNY started off strong by taking two of the three doubles points. On court one, Pavel Shapturenka and Max Bernstein won 8-4, while Reginald Duvalsaint and Andrew Bregman defeated the Bears on court two 8-3. Rubin Lehman and Brian Chen fell on court three 8-1. CCNY went into singles play with a 2-1 lead.

Shapturenka continued his dominating ways and took the singles point on court one 3-6, 6-2, 6-4. Bernstein and Bregman both won their respective singles on courts two and three. Bernstein took the point 6-2, 6-1. Bregman won 6-0, 6-1. Rubin Lehman took the final singles point for CCNY on court six with a 7-5, 6-1 victory. Both Duvalsaint and Chen, Brian fell on courts four and five, respectively. 

City will travel to face non-conference opponent Farmingdale State on Thursday, March 31. Match is set for 4:30 p.m.
