Brooklyn, NY – With a combination of balancing scoring and clutch shooting, the City College men's basketball program stretched their winning streak to four games with a 98-52 win at Medgar Evers College Monday night. Senior David Solano scored a game-high 28 points and senior Khalil Hamer netted 17 points with a game-high 8 assist. With the victory, CCNY now sit at 7-6 overall and 5-2 in conference play.
Senior Robbie Dionisio had 11-points, eight rebounds and four steals for the Lavender & Black. Both Freshmen Enesco Hunte and Junior Salvatore Palazzolo posted eight points for the Lavender & Black off the bench.
The game marks the teams highest scoring output of the season. The Beavers scored 37 points came from the bench, 35-points off turnovers, 30-points in the paint, 20-points from second chance shots and 18-points off fast breaks.
Medgar Evers had four player score over 10-points with Maurice Swaby leading the team with 19-points.
The Beavers out shot Medgar in the contest 44%-to-35%. The Beavers won the turnover margin 12-to-31.
The CCNY Men's Basketball program now moves up to the second spot in the CUNYAC standings with a 5-2 conference record.
CCNY returns to the Nat Holman Gymnasium when they host York College on Wednesday (Jan. 11) at 7:00 pm.
