New York, NY – The CCNY women's volleyball program dropped a heartbreaker five-set match Friday evening to St. Joseph's College - Brooklyn. The Beavers took the first two sets (25-16, 25-23), but the Bears galloped their way back into the match, earning three straight-set wins (19-25, 22-25, 18-20) to claim the match.
Freshman
Yana Shaposhnikova had a match-high 14 kills and 17 digs for her first double-double of the season. Junior
Camila Franco-Diaz finished with nine kills, 13 digs and three aces and two assists.

Dzeneta Harambasic had a match-high 26 assists, with senior
Irishvarsha Iyyadurai chipping in 14 digs, three assists, and two kills. Rookie
Melanie Torres recorded a season-high six kills, with three digs
St. Joseph's Tiffany Garcia-Lawson had a team-high 11 kills. Paige Csikortos had 17 assists, while Dana Roussos ended with 18 digs to lead the Bears on the road.
CCNY returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 19 with a home contest against the Dolphins of the College of Mount Saint Vincent. The match is slated for 7:00 pm at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
