New Haven, Conn. – The CCNY women's volleyball team fell in straight sets at Albertus Magnus College Tuesday evening, 3-0. The Falcons controlled all three sets (25-9, 25-18 and 25-15). The Lavender & Black now move to 1-2 on the season.
Junior
Camila Franco-Diaz had a team-high 17 digs and three kills. Freshman
Yana Shaposhnikova added three kills, along with six digs.
Albertus Magnus was led by freshman Genesis Cora Luquis's 12 kills. Senior Marielis Muriel had a game-high 26 assists.
The Beavers will return home Saturday, Sept. 9, as they host a CUNYAC Tri-Match. CCNY will play York College (NY) at noon and then Hunter College at 2 p.m. in the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
