New York, N.Y. - The City College of New York men's basketball team fell to the Baruch College Bearcats, 75-46, on Wednesday.
CCNY started the game off strong, opening the contest on a 9-3 run. Later in the half, the Beavers used another run, outscoring the Bearcats on 10-2 in a three-minute span gave the team a 12-point lead (23-11).
Bearcats responded with a run of their own, closing out the half on a 13-4 run, tying the game at 27-27 entering halftime.
The Beavers struggled out of the gate in the second half, as Baruch opened the half on an 18-3 run, jumping out to a 15-point lead with 14:09 remaining in regulations.
Baruch held CCNY to 10 points over the final ten minutes of the second half, outscoring the Beavers 48-19 in the half.
Junior
Ty-Ler Banks led the Beavers with 12 points, nine rebounds, and two steals.
Adem Gutic tallied eight points, while senior
Mike White added six points and six assists.
The team returns to action on Friday, Jan. 25 at 7:00 p.m. when they travel to the College of New Rochelle.
