Brooklyn, N.Y. – A second-half comeback from the CCNY men's basketball team came up short Thursday evening, falling to Medgar Evers College 88-76 in CUNY Athletic Conference play.

Romello Rashad had an all-around career-high night, leading the Beavers with a season-high 24-points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and six steals in 40 minutes of play.

The Beavers led by as many as 12 points in the first half with 12:50 left in the half after a trifecta by Rashad.
Over the final 10 minute stretch over the first half, the Cougars put together a 27-11 run to hold a 41-31 lead at the break.
Trailing by 15 points just under 10 minutes into the second half, CCNY used an 18-7 run over a six-minute stretch to cut the margin to two points (71-69) with 4:27 remaining.
Medgar Evers would pull away from CCNY in the final minutes of the game, outscoring the Beavers 17-10, securing their 88-76 victory.
