New Rochelle, NY - The CCNY baseball team fell to Baruch College, 10-5, as the Bearcats used a six-run ninth inning to steal a win Friday afternoon in game one of a three-game conference series.

Cooper York opened the first with a one-out double to left field and was drove in on classmate
Stephen Peters RBI single up the middle for the Beavers first score.
Baruch evened the score in the second inning, as Kemal Deljanin homered to left center.
The Beavers regained the lead in the bottom of the second when freshman
Sean Riera hit a two-out RBI single to center field.
The Bearcats came back to take their first lead of the game in the fourth inning. With one out, Deljanin doubled down the left field line to plate Michael McGroarty. In the next at-bat, Jorge Mercado singled to left field, bringing in Deljanin from second to hold a 3-2 advantage.
Leading off the bottom of the fourth for CCNY, junior Haley Volquez blasted a solo home run to left field, knotting the game at 3-3.
One run in the seventh inning on a fielding error helped give Baruch a 4-3 lead, but the Beavers bounced back quickly with two runs in the bottom of the eighth. Senior

Josh Moreno on an RBI base hit up the middle before Volquez brought in Peters on an RBI single to center field.
In the ninth inning, a one-out RBI single helped the Bearcats tie up the game, 5-5. A throwing error allowed Davic Capellan to score for third, giving Baruch a 6-5 lead. An RBI single and a four-run homer lifted Baruch to a late comeback win over the CCNY, 10-5.
Volquez finished with two hits, including his third homer of the season, along with two RBI and a run scored. The duo Peters and York added a pair of hits and a run scored each while Riera recorded two hits and an RBI.
Due to unfavorable weather, the Beavers and Bearcats scheduled a doubleheader for Saturday, April 19 has been moved to Monday, April 21. The game is set to be played a Silver Lake Park in West Harrison, NY, with first pitch slated for 11:00 am.
