YAPHANK, NY - The CCNY baseball team bounced back on Saturday, pulling out a 4-3 victory over John Jay College in the series finale.
The Beavers improved to 7-12 overall and 3-3 in conference play.
Senior
Rob Mandich led the Beavers with two RBI. Freshman
Sean Riera and junior
Cooper York each had one hit and an RBI while junior
Stephen Peters had a hit and a run scored.
Freshman
Alex Velazquez improved to 2-1 on the season, earning the win in six innings of work, striking out three. Sophomore
Trent Alfred earned his first career save, tossing the final three innings and striking out two batters.
The wrap up the weekend tomorrow at home with a doubleheader against Skidmore College.
