New York, NY - In the second meeting between the two teams, the CCNY men's basketball team fell to the Baruch College Bearcats at home Wednesday night, 81-63. The loss drops the Beavers to 5-12 overall and 1-7 in CUNY Athletic Conference play.
Freshman
Jordan Williams scored a team-high 13 points off the bench, along with three rebounds and three assists. Sophomore
Yassine Sakhi ended the night with 12 points, four rebounds, and three steals. Sophomore
Amir Assani poured in ten points, seven assists, and four rebounds.
Freshman
Bayame Bah posted nine points, seven rebounds, and one block. Junior
Daniel Piszczatowski added eight points, two rebounds, and two blocks.
Baruch had five players score in double figures, led by Jehmehl Fair 18-point effort. The Bearcats outshot the Beavers 54.5 % to 42.6 %. Each team collected 34 rebounds apiece in the contest.
The Beavers returned to action on Friday, Jan. 28, with a home contest against the Cougars of Medgar Evers at 7:00 p.m.
