New York, NY - Behind their best offensive performance of the season, the CCNY men's basketball team earned a bounce-back victory over Medgar Evers College on Friday night, 91-89, at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
The Beavers improve to 6-12 overall and 2-7 in CUNY Athletic Conference play with the win.
The Beavers shot a season-best 56.7 percent from the floor and knocked down 40.9 percent from deep range, their best performance of the season.
Sophomore
Yassine Sakhi paced the Beavers with a game-high 26 points, going 9-of-14 from the field and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. He also had two rebounds and three steals in the contest.
Junior
Daniel Piszczatowski finished with 15 points, a team-high eight rebounds, three assists, and a block in the win. Freshman
Bayame Bah tallied 14 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and three steals.
Sophomore
Amir Assani added 14 points, eight rebounds, six assists, two steals, and a block. Junior
Dashaun Galloway picked up 12 points, five rebounds, and a game-high nine assists.
Freshman
Jordan Williams posted seven points and two assists, while
Luqman Ahmed recorded three points and three rebounds.
Up next, the Beavers close out their home stretch, welcoming Lehman College to the Nat Holman Gymnasium on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 7:00 p.m.
