Bronx, NY – The City College of New York men's volleyball program pulled out a five-set (25-11, 19-25, 21-25, 25-22, 15-13) victory over Lehman College in a non-conference match-up to remain unbeaten on Friday night.
Sophomore Xhulio Myftari led the Beavers with his first double-double of the year, totaling a match-high 25 kills and ten digs, along with three aces and two blocks. Freshman Utpal Chand recorded his second double-double of the season, tallying ten kills and 11 digs. Freshman Rahul Sharma finished with eight kills, 12 digs, and one block.
Freshman Edwin Fierros Gaytan contributed a season-high 36 assists, four digs, and a block in the victory. Freshman Reng Chen had 11 digs, three kills, three aces, while Tenzin Tsepak had four digs and two blocks.
Next, CCNY returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 22, on the road against Bard College at 8:00 p.m.
