Men's Hoops Drops Conference Road Match at John Jay, 76-66

New York, NY - The City College of New York men's basketball team dropped their second straight CUNY Athletic Conference contest on Saturday, falling to the John Jay College Bloodhounds on the road, 76-66.

The Beavers drop to 6-14 overall and 2-9 in league play.

Junior Daniel Piszczatowski led the team with 19 points and six rebounds. Freshman Bayame Bah tallied 14 points, four rebounds, two blocks. Sophomore Amir Assani finished the afternoon with 10 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and a block.

Sophomore Yassine Sakhi netted 17 points off the bench, grabbing five assists and three rebounds. Junior Dashaun Galloway added four points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals, while freshman Elijah Patterson picked up four points and five rebounds.

The Bloodhounds narrowly outshot the Beavers in the contest, netting 44.4% of their shots compared to CCNY's 43.1% shooting effort from the floor. The Beavers owned the rebounding battle, outrebounding John Jay 36-to-35.
 
Next, the Beavers return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 9, on the road against the York College Cardinals at 7:30 p.m.
