New York, NY - In their first home match in over two years, the CCNY men's volleyball team defeated Lehman College in four sets at the Nat Holman Gymnasium to open CUNY Athletic Conference play on Tuesday.
The Beavers improve to 5-1 with the victory, while the Lightning falls to 4-6.
The Beavers won the opening set, 25-22. The Lightning came back to take the second set, 25-23. The Beavers close out the match capturing the fourth and fifth sets 25-15 and 25-12.
Freshman
Utpal Chand registered his fourth double-double of the year, tallying a match-high 19 kills and ten digs. Sophomore
Xhulio Myftari totaled his second double-double of the season with 15 and a match-high 16 digs. Freshman
Rahul Sharma also recorded a double-double, finishing a season-high 14 kills and ten digs.

Edwin Fierros Gaytan dished out a career-high 41 assists, along with three aces. Freshman
Tenzin Tsepak had five kills, eight digs, four assists, and a block in the win.
Next, the Beavers continue conference play, traveling to take on the Hawks of Hunter College on Thursday, Mar. 3, at 6:00 p.m.
