Hoboken, NJ - The City College of New York Baseball program fell on the road Tuesday night in a non-conference contest to Stevens Institute of Technology, 12-1.
Stevens struck first, scoring a run in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI single. 
After a scoreless second frame, CCNY responded with a run in the third inning. With one out, freshman 
Wellington Gomez reached first on a fielding error and later stole second. Center fielder 
Tyler DiBlasi drove Gomez in for his first run of the season on an RBI ground-rule double to left field.
Stevens would score 11 unanswered runs to close out the game with a 12-1 victory.
DiBlasi finished the night 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI. Senior Sardar Kahnbilvardi and freshman 
Michael Chasanov each tallied a hit in the contest for the Beavers.
Freshman right-handed pitcher 
Jason Rodriguez took the loss, allowing four runs on four hits and two strikeouts in 2.1 innings. 
Next, the Beavers head back to the diamond tomorrow afternoon for a non-conference matchup against Drew University at 3:00 p.m. in Madison, NJ.
