Yonkers, NY - The CCNY women's soccer team dropped their first contest of the season on Saturday, falling to Sarah Lawrence College in non-conference play, 5-1. The Beavers drop to 2-1-1.
The Gryphons got on the board early, netting the first score of the match in the first minute to go ahead 1-0.
After trailing for the first half, CCNY evened the match in the second half as sophomore
Laura Villatoro notched her second goal of the season, off a helper from junior
Skylar Parker.
Sarah Lawrence responded by scoring four unanswered goals to secure a 5-1 over the Beavers.
In goal, freshman
Amelia Cataldo took her first season loss, making five saves in the match.
Next, CCNY will host Saint Elizabeth University on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Randall's Island at 7:00 p.m.
