Brooklyn, NY - The City College of New York men's basketball team defeated Medgar Evers College, 85-61, on the road Friday evening.
With the win, the Beavers have won their last 11 out of 14 games, improving to 13-7 overall and 8-1 in CUNY Athletic Conference play.
Junior
Yassine Sakhi led the Cardinals with 13 points and two rebounds. Senior
Daniel Piszczatowski finished with 12 points, three rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Junior
Amir Assani posted 10 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Senior
Dashaun Galloway added six points, nine rebounds, ten assists, and three steals.
Freshman
Ricardo Dixon finished nine points and six rebounds, while senior
Justin Steed and
Jordan Williams each netted nine points. Junior
Nana Oteng tallied six points, while
Johnathan Blumrick added four points and six rebounds.
The Beavers shot 44.6 percent (33-of-74) from the field in the win. CCNY held a significant 45-36 edge in rebounds.
Next, the Beavers continue CUNY Athletic Conference play on Tuesday, Jan. 31, traveling to take on Lehman College at 7:00 p.m.
