New York, NY – The City College of New York men's volleyball team wrapped up the regular season on Thursday evening with a three-set sweep (25-4, 25-9, 25-7) over the York College Cardinals. With the win, the Beavers complete the regular-season with a 13-6 overall record and an 8-6 mark in league play.
Before the match, Head Coach Vaughn Ford and the Men's Volleyball team honored the program's senior class members Mohamed Elshary and Tenzin Tsepak.
Freshman Ethan Sherpa recorded a match-high six kills and four aces. Tenzin Tsepak finished with four kills, six aces, and five digs. Freshman Ricky Li had five kills, four aces, and three digs, while freshman Prabodh KC added five kills and two digs.
Freshman David Reyes Galvez posted a match-high 18 assists and 12 aces. Freshman Jeffrey Celis tallied three kills and three digs, while Edwin Fierros Gaytan had three assists and three digs.
Next, the Beavers begin postseason play on Tuesday, April 11, hosting Lehman College in the First Round of the CUNYAC Championships. The match is set for 6:00 p.m. at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
