Brooklyn, NY - The City College of New York men's volleyball team defeated Medgar Evers College in three sets Tuesday night in CUNY Athletic Conference play. With the victory, the Beavers stand at 12-6 overall and 7-6 in conference play.
The Beavers defeated the Cougars in the opening set, 25-15. In the second set, after trailing by three points (20-17), CCNY rallied with a 10-5 run to take the set, 27-25. City College used a 14-7 run in the final set to close the match with a 25-20 victory.
Junior Jeffry Celis notched a double-double to lead the Beavers, finishing with a match-high 17 kills and 15 digs. Freshman
Ricky Li tallied 10 kills and five digs for the Beavers. Sophomore
Tenzin Tsepak added five kills.

David Reyes Galvez dished a match-high 30 assists in the victory. Freshman
Ethan Sherpa piled up 12 digs and three kills, while sophomore
Edwin Fierros Gaytan had six assists and five digs.
Next, the Beavers will host York College on Thursday, April 6, at 7:00 p.m. in the regular-season finale.
