New York, NY - The City College of New York women's volleyball team earned an impressive win Thursday night, taking down Baruch College in a thrilling five-set match on the road.
With the victory, the Beavers improved to 3-12 overall and 3-3 in league play.
Senior Bianka Catral powered the Beavers with a match-high 16 kills, six digs, and two service aces. Freshman Ivanna Zamora Sanchez posted a double-double of 14 kills and 12 digs. Graduate student Michelle Fernandez tallied eight kills and 21 digs.
Senior Viviana Alatorre dished a career and match-high 43 assists, along with 19 digs for a double-double. Junior Serena Warner collected seven kills and a solo block, while sophomore Rosalynda Russo finished with 33 digs. Freshman Kejsi Metko added four kills, three aces, and two digs.
Next, the Beavers close out conference play on Tuesday, Nov. 5, on the road against York College at 6:30 p.m.
