Brooklyn, NY - The City College of New York men's basketball team opened their CUNY Athletic Conference slate Friday evening, defeating Medgar Evers College, 76-68 on the road.
The victory marks the Beavers's third straight win, improving to 4-2 overall.
Junior guard Justin Morety led the Beavers with a season-high 22 points, eight rebounds, and a season-high five assists. Junior Michael Bowman netted a season-high 16 points, knocking down 4-of-8 from three-point range, along with four rebounds and two assists. Junior Ricardo Dixon recorded his second double-double of the season, finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds, to go with three blocks and two steals.
Senior Elijah Patterson added a season-high 10 points and eight rebounds off the bench in 22 minutes of action. Junior Kayson Dinkins had six points, three rebounds, and a steal.
Next, the Beavers travel to take on Mount Saint Mary College on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8:00 p.m.
