Hoboken, NJ - The City College of New York baseball opens the 2024 season on Sunday morning, falling on the road in a doubleheader to Stevens Institute. 
Game 1 - Stevens 6, CCNY 0 
Outfielder 
Tyler DiBlasi, catcher 
Mike Savino, and third baseman 
Frank Reyes each tallied a hit in the game.
On the mound, junior right-handed pitcher 
Brandon Paider made the start, working three scoreless innings with one strikeout. Left-handed pitcher 
Richard Vento took the loss, allowing two runs on two hits in one inning played.
Game 2 - Steven 10, CCNY 1
In game two, the Beavers's lone run of the day came in the top of the fifth inning when sophomore 
Kevin Budzinski scored on 
Eric Rank's RBI single up the middle.
The Beavers tallied four hits in the nightcap, with Budzinski, Rank, and junior 
Bryan Lopez registering a base hit, while junior 
Stephen Suprun had a double down the left-field line in the top of the second.
Next, the Beavers host Colby-Sawyer College on Sunday, Feb.18, in a doubleheader at 11:00 a.m.
