Madison, NJ - The City College of New York women's fencing program began postseason competition on Sunday, competing at the 2024 Eastern Women's Fencing Conference Championships, hosted by Drew University at the Baldwin Gymnasium. The Beavers finished tenth overall as a team.
In the individual portion of the Championships, sophomore Simona Isakova placed 12th in women's foil. Camila Rodriguez tied for 15th overall in the saber, followed by sophomore Heaven Castillo, who tied for 17th. Junior Rabia Kashi placed 18th in the women's epee, while sophomore Saaimah Masud finished 18th overall in the weapon.
In addition, Heaven Castillo was recognized on the 2023-24 EWFC All-Academic Team, while senior Alejandra Castillo was named to the conference's Woman of the Year Team.
