Kings Point, NY - The City College of New York baseball team faced off against the United States Merchant Marine Academy in non-conference action Thursday night, falling to USMMA late, 9-7.

Michael Chasanov led the Beavers in the game, going 2-for-4 and driving in three runs. Junior
Bryan Lopez finished 2-for-3 and scored a run.

Freshman left-handed pitcher
Ethan Lopez worked the first frames, striking out two and allowed one run. Senior
Austin Ortiz relieved and pitched the next 3.0 innings, tallying a season-high three strikeouts and giving up three runs. Freshman
Adrian Tang closed out the game, tossing the final 1.2 innings, and recorded two strikeouts.
Next, the Beavers will host John Jay College on Saturday, April 6, in a CUNY Athletic doubleheader. Game one will start at noon at Father John Blanco Ballpark in New Rochelle, NY.
