New York, NY - The City College of New York women's volleyball team delivered a commanding performance on Tuesday night, earning a straight-set sweep over Medgar Evers College at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.

With the victory, the Beavers improve to 4-12 overall and 1-2 in CUNY Athletic Conference play.

Sophomore Ivanna Zamora Sanchez led the Beavers with a standout all-around showing, recording seven kills, nine assists, and four service aces while hitting .500 on the night. Gia Skenderi followed with four kills and five aces, adding to CCNY's strong offensive rhythm. Freshman Danuzia Caixeta Palmer dished out a match-high 17 assists.

Senior Nila Tom was nearly unstoppable at the net, tallying four kills on five swings (.800), while freshman Jia Hua Liu added three kills and five aces for an eight-point effort. Sophomore Rachael Reyes and classmate Kejsi Metko chipped in with solid contributions, combining for eight kills and ten digs.

Next, the Beavers will host Lehman College on Friday, Oct. 10, at 7:00 pm at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
