Riverdale, NY – The City College of New York women's cross country team earned a third-place finish at the 2025 CUNY Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships, held Sunday morning at Van Cortlandt Park.
CCNY finished third overall in the team standings behind Hunter College and Medgar Evers, and ahead of Baruch, John Jay, and Brooklyn.
Leading the Beavers was Sophomore Norma Flores, who clocked a time of 28:24.7 to finish eighth overall. Close behind was freshman Charlotte Goodell-Ko, taking 11th place in 29:00.2, followed by sophomore Karuna Aikawa (14th, 29:27.1), freshman Michelle Chen (16th, 29:38.2), and junior Isabelle Ashpole (19th, 30:08.7), rounding out the top-five scorers for CCNY.
Also competing for the Beavers were freshman Susan Smolaga (27th, 30:53.2), freshman Natalya Golia (34th, 32:44.5), senior Lizbeth Diaz (37th, 33:16.0), Fahmida Choudhury (54th, 36:47.7), and Jennifer Cuba (60th, 38:47.6).
Next, CCNY will compete at the ECAC North Championships on Saturday, November 8.
