New York, NY – For the fourth consecutive year, the City College of New York baseball program has been honored with the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award, recognizing its outstanding academic performance during the 2024–25 academic year, the association announced.

Presented by Sports Attack, the prestigious award honors nearly 800 high school and college programs nationwide whose coaches are ABCA members and who achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale over the academic year.

The Beavers excelled in the classroom with a collective 3.33 team GPA. Eighteen student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.0 or higher, with 13 earning a 3.2 or above and six surpassing the 3.5 mark. CCNY was one of just 181 NCAA Division III programs recognized—and the only team from the CUNY Athletic Conference to receive the distinction.

The Beavers' academic achievements paralleled their continued success on the field. During the 2025 campaign, CCNY secured its third straight CUNYAC Regular Season title and advanced to the CUNYAC Championship Series for the fourth consecutive year.
