New York, NY - The City College of New York Department of Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Ezri Lisa Bronshtein as the new Manager of Athletics Finance & Administration.

In this role, Bronshtein will oversee the department's financial operations and administrative processes, supporting the continued growth and success of CCNY Athletics. She will play a key role in budget management, purchasing, compliance, operational planning, and departmental coordination while working closely with coaches, staff, and campus partners.

"We are excited to welcome Ezri to the CCNY Athletics family," said Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation, Duane Bailey. "Her experience across athletics administration, business operations, and coaching provides a unique perspective that will be a tremendous asset to our department as we continue to enhance the student-athlete experience and advance our mission."

Bronshtein joins CCNY following a successful tenure at Baruch College, where she served in a business operations role while also building an impressive coaching résumé in collegiate volleyball.

Beginning her second season as Head Coach of Baruch's men's and women's volleyball programs, Bronshtein (formerly Ezri Shor) quickly established herself as one of the emerging leaders in CUNYAC volleyball. Appointed Head Coach of the women's volleyball team in August 2023 and later named Head Coach of the men's volleyball program in December 2023, she guided both programs to postseason success.

During her tenure, the women's volleyball team reached consecutive CUNYAC semifinal appearances, while the men's volleyball program captured back-to-back CUNYAC Championships and earned consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. In 2024, Baruch finished 19–7 overall and posted a perfect 14–0 conference record en route to the conference title and NCAA berth. The following season, the Bearcats followed with an 18–12 record, a 13–1 mark in conference play, another CUNYAC Championship, and an NCAA Tournament opening-round victory over Buffalo State.

Prior to becoming head coach, she served as an assistant coach for the Baruch men's and women's volleyball programs during the 2022–23 academic year, helping guide the men's team to a CUNYAC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance.

A native of Brooklyn, Ezri is also a decorated former student-athlete. She competed for Brooklyn College women's volleyball and helped lead the Bulldogs to their first CUNYAC Championship in 39 years in 2021, earning CUNYAC Championship Tournament MVP honors. During her playing career, she was a two-time CUNYAC All-Star (2019, 2021) and was recognized as the conference's Rookie of the Year in 2018.

Her academic accomplishments included recognition as a 2022 CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year Honorable Mention and CUNYAC Hospital for Special Surgery Scholar-Athlete of the Month in September 2021. She graduated from Brooklyn College in June 2022 with a double major in Business Administration and Business Management, along with double minors in Business Law and Chemistry.

Ezri also represented Team USA internationally, earning a gold medal at the 20th Maccabiah World Games in Israel as a member of the Junior USA Volleyball Team in 2017.
