The City College of New York women's tennis team fell 9-0 to Baruch in a conference matchup Friday evening.
The match began with the Beavers setting a new lineup for doubles.
Minhal Mahmood and
Louiza Molohides started in the number one position, but fell 8-0.
Domica Roberts and
Yacine Diouf took their place on court two, but also fell 8-0. Ysabelle Gamoso and
Rozina Radoncic tried their best on court three but Baruch took the point with an 8-0 victory. Baruch had a 3-0 advantage going into singles play.
Roberts played in the number one position, but could not stop Allie Jackson-Hing as Baruch swept 6-0, 6-0. Mahmood and Molohides both could not stop Baruch on court two and three, respectively.
Yacine Diouf gave it her all on court four, but Dzhessika Bishenkevich took the advantage by winning 6-2, 6-1. Gamoso and Radonic fell on court five and six, respceively.
The team will face the College of Staten Island Saturday, October 17 at 1 p.m.
