City College of New York women's tennis team faced Brooklyn in their first conference match of the season and fell 9-0.

Doubles partners Minhal Mahmood and Louiza Molohides put up a fight on court two but were unable to gain the advantage and fell to Brooklyn partners Diana Beshta and Anastasia Volovik 8-7. The Beavers fell on court one and three during doubles play 8-0, 8-2, respetively to give the Bulldogs a 3-0 lead going into singles play.

Continuing with the fight from doubles, Mahmood, took the first set on court four 6-1. Mahmood eventually fell 6-2 and 10-7 in the next two sets for Brooklyn to take the singles point on court four. Domica Roberts jumped to the no. three position, but was unable to stop Beshta of Brooklyn and fell 6-2, 6-2. Charlotte Dulay, who has played on court one in all three matches this season, fell 6-1, 6-1.

Ann Bui, the Beavers no. two, fell 6-1, 6-2, while Louza Molohides fell 6-3, 7-5 on court five. Yacine Diouf was unable to gain an advantage on court six and was overcome 6-2, 6-0.

City will face John Jay in a conference matchup on  Friday, October 9 at 4 p.m.
