The City College of New York women's tennis team was overcome 6-3 by Cairn University at the McCurdy Tennis Facility in Langhorn, Pennslyvannia.

Starting with doubles, Domica Roberts and Yacine Diouf picked up another doubles victory 8-3 over Cairn. The Beavers fell on court one and two during doubles play to give Cairn a 2-1 lead going into singles play.

Roberts, on court five, picked up her second collegiate victory when Cairn student-athlete Kara Williams retired. Diouf also picked up her second singles victory with a 6-0, 6-4 win on court six.

Charlotte Dulay put up a fight in the number one position but fell 6-1, 6-0. Ann Bui could not gain a competitive advantage against Julia Derus and fell 6-0, 6-0. Minhal Mahood and Louiza Molohides fell on their respective courts to help seal the deal for Cairn's victory.

The team will face Lehman for their first conference match of the season on Tuesday September 29.
