The City College of New York women's fencing team competed at the Eastern Women's Fencing Conferece (EWFC) Championship on Sunday at Hunter College. 

The highlight of the Championship was Klarissa Armada being named to the Foil First Team All-Stars and Judine Watkis being named to the Epee Second Team All-Stars. In order to determine the all-stars, after the dual meet was completed fencers returned to the strips for direct elimination tournaments. 

Steven Institute of Technology took home the championship as they went 7-0. The other teams participating in the dual meet was Johns Hopkins (6-1), Haverford (5-2), Vassar (4-3), Drew (3-4), Hunter (2-5) and Yeshiva (0-7). The Beavers finished the meet 1-6, with their single team victory coming over Yeshiva. 

First, the Beavers faced Vassar and fell 21-6. In the second round, City faced the ultimate Champions, Stevens, and also took a 21-6 loss. Round three consisted of a battle between the Beavers and Johns Hopkins where City would fall 20-7. In round four, CCNY fell 19-8 to Haverford, and then 17-6 to Hunter College in round five. Drew defeated the Beavers 18-9 in round six. City finally took control and defeated Yeshiva 19-7 in round seven and picked up their first team win of the championship.
