Women’s Cross Country Finishes Ninth at ECAC Championships

Milton, NY - Coming off of a historical finish last weekend at the CUNYAC Championships, the CCNY women's cross country team continued to showcase their strong running with a ninth-place team finish on Saturday at the 2021 ECAC Championships at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome.

Freshman Zara McPartland led the Beavers with a top-40 finish, crossing the line 35th overall in a time of 31:52.4. Freshman Sandra Lu ran a personal-best time of 32:42.5, finishing 42nd overall. Freshman Kate Cortez was next, clocking a time of 33:33.1.

Nabila Jahan took 53rd overall in the meet after crossing the line at 34:09.3. Freshman Aakaysha Williams was CCNY's fifth scorer with a time of 36:13.7.

St. Joseph's College-Long Island was the overall winner on Saturday, totaling 24 points to claim the ECAC team title. Vassar College took second with 77 points, while FDU-Florham took third with 87 points.
