Newburgh, NY – The City College of New York men's basketball team fell to Mount Saint Mary College (NY), 80-57, on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action. The Beavers drop to 0-2 overall with the defeat, while the Knights improve to 1-1.
Junior Yassine Sakhi led the Beavers with a team-high 20 points, three rebounds, and a game-high five assists. Senior Daniel Piszczatowski added 10 points and seven rebounds. Senior Dashaun Galloway posted six points, three rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and a game-high five steals.
Sophomore Bayame Bah picked up five points, five rebounds, and two steals. Freshman Ricardo Dixon made his first career start, finishing with five points and four rebounds. Sophomore Michael Bowman added eight points, three rebounds, and two steals off the bench for the Beavers.
The Knights owned the advantage on the glass, outrebounding CCNY 42-29 in the contest. MSMC also outshot the Beavers in the game 52.6% - 35.2%
Next, the Beavers take on Maritime College on Monday, Nov. 14, at 7:00 p.m.
