New York, NY - The City College of New York men's basketball team picked up an impressive win over Brooklyn College, 62-51, on Friday night in a CUNY Athletic Conference clash at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
CCNY dominated the glass, outrebounding Brooklyn 50-33 in the contest. The Beavers improve to 7-15 overall and 3-10 in conference play. The win elevates CCNY's positioning in the CUNYAC playoff standings, owning the sixth seed heading into the final week of the regular season.
The Beavers shot 38.5 percent from the floor and kept the Bulldogs to 35.1 percent.
Junior
Daniel Piszczatowski led the charge for the Beavers with a team-high 18 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Junior
Dashaun Galloway tallied his sixth double-double of the year, posting 10 points and 12 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Sophomore
Yassine Sakhi registered 12 points, four rebounds, and two assists.
Amir Assani recorded six points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three blocks. Freshman
Bayame Bah added eight points and nine rebounds. Freshman
Elijah Patterson notched eight points, six rebounds, and one block.
